NABARD Chairman Hon’ble Dr. Harsh Kumar Bhanwala inaugurated roof-top grid connected PV
solar power project installed at National Bank Staff College (NBSC) and Bankers Institute of Rural
Development (BIRD), Lucknow during 69th Business Plan Meet at NBSC, Lucknow on 13th October
2018, in the presence of other Senior Officials, including Deputy Managing Director, NABARD.

NBSC has entered into a Power Purchase Agreement with M/s Clean Max Enviro Energy Solutions
Pvt. Ltd. for setting up of Grid Connected Roof Top Solar Power System with total capacity of
108.8kWp at NBSC and BIRD, Lucknow Campus. The solar panels have been set up on roof tops
of BIRD office building, multipurpose hall and hostel blocks. Project covers a total area of 893 sqr
mtrs. The electricity generated will be purchased for the next 25 years. It will help in saving of
energy bill for the Institution. The project will also result in reduction of CO2 emission to the
extent of 140.525 tonnes per year. This is one among the many green initiatives taken at the
Learning Center of NABARD towards mitigation of adverse impacts of Climate Change.
