Rajshri Tandon Rajbhasha Award presented to IISR, Lucknow
Sh. Radha Mohan Singh, the Hon’ble Minister of Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India presented various awards to the ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow and its Scientists for their outstanding contributions in their fields of specialization on the occasion of the ICAR Foundation Day in New Delhi. Shri Gajendra Singh Shekhawat, Hon’ble Minister of State for Agriculture and Farmers Welfare, Govt. of India; Dr. T. Mohapatra, Secretary, DARE and Director General, ICAR along with top officers of the Council were present on this occasion.

The ICAR-Indian Institute of Sugarcane Research, Lucknow begged Rajshri Tandon Rajbhasha Award for 2016-17 under the category of big ICAR Institutes for performing maximum official work in Rajbhasha by the ICAR. The award was presented to Dr. A.D. Pathak, Director and Sh. Abhishek Kumar Singh, Hindi Officer by the Hon’ble Minister.

NAASI-ICAR Award for Innovation and Research on Farm Implements, 2017 was conferred to Dr. Akhilesh Kumar Singh, Principal Scientist (FMP) and Er. Sukhbir Singh, Senior Scientist (FMP) of Division of Agricultural Engineering of the Institute.

Jawaharlal Nehru Award for P.G. Outstanding Doctoral Thesis Research in Agriculture and Allied Sciences, 2017 was conferred to Dr. Somnath Kadappa Holkar, Scientist and Incharge, IISR Biological Control Centre, Pravaranagar, Ahmednagar in Crop Protection Category
