The U.P. Government has issued guide-lines to distribute “take-home rashan” to teenager girls, the Aanganwani workers will distribute supplementary nutrition food in presence of Gram Pardhan/Gram Panchayat members and Chairperson of Matri Samiti. To ensure fair distribution, a distribution register will be maintained and signed by the beneficiaries.
Secretary, Child Development and Nutrition Department secretary Mrs. Anita C. Meshram gave this information here today and said that the verification of nutrition food supplied at the project level will be done by S.D.M., Block Development Officer itself or the officer nominated by them. Verification will be done on the stock register of child development project too. District Programme Officers have been directed to verify the stock by surprise inspection. Along with this, they will also verify the stock register and distribution register marking.
Mrs. Meshram said that the “take-home rashan” will be distributed to the children upto of age lying between six month and 3 years, pregnant ladies, lactating mothers and the teenager girls under the child development project.
