• Medical Facilities have improved in last 15 Months-Ahmed Hasan

Dwelling upon the importance of the family welfare programme, the Uttar Pradesh Medical Health and Family Welfare Minister Mr. Ahmed Hasan underlined the need for spreading awareness among the people regarding this programme. He said that in the last 15 months a remarkable improvement had been noticed in the medical and health services in the state the credit of which went to the senior departmental officers.
Mr. Hasan was addressing as the chief guest a programme on the Family welfare organised under the National Rural Health Mission (NRHM) at the Hotel Clark Awadh here today. He criticised the previous government for making this department a corruption hub. He said that the departmental officers should avoid presenting bogus statistics and should present actual progress report of the department to the government. This would help provide wholesome Medical facilities to the people. He added that the people found guilty of mal-practices and corruption had been jailed and wrong doers still escaping the penalty, would soon be penalised.
Mr. Hasan said that the Medical profession is a noble profession, as patients see doctors next to God. Therefore, it was a must to hold dignity and respect, that it commands in the society. He urged the doctors to work in the direction of making the state number one in the Medical and Health field and asked them to come forward in the aid of the poor, helpless and the weaker sections of the society by providing them better health facilities. The Health Minister, on the occassion, awarded the doctors and para Medical staff for their distinguished services under the Family Welfare Programmes.
Among the dignitaries who graced the occasion were Director General Family Welfare, Executive Director, NRHM, senior departmental officers, Chief Medical Officers from the districts, Chief Medical Superintendents and others.
