7 March : City Montessori School, Gomti Nagar (Campus I) is organizing the 14th Commonwealth Youth Conference and Poster Making Competition on 13th March 2013, Wednesday at CMS Gomti Nagar Auditorium which aims to consolidate mutual understanding and friendship among the youth of commonwealth nations. This information has come from Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS. Mr Sharma informed that this year’s theme of Commonwealth Youth Conference is “Opportunity through Enterprise” under which the topics like Increasing the participation of youth in industry, identify opportunities and strengthen trade relations between countries and the problems and solutions that present age youth are facing today will be discussed. An exhibition will also be put up on this day displaying the entries sent by the students from India and abroad for Poster Making Contest.
Mr Sharma informed that entries for Poster Making Competition have been invited from the students of juniors (classes VI to VIII) and seniors (classes IX to XII) category across the globe. These entries will be displayed at a exhibition as well as the best entries will be awarded prizes in a grand ceremony held on this occasion. Selection of best entries will be done by the reputed jury members.
Mr Sharma informed that Commonwealth is the second largest organization of 54 nations, after United Nations Organization. Independent and sovereign nations only can become commonwealth’s member. Commonwealth, an organization of different cultures and customs was formed in 1949 when India had joined it as first republic. Commonwealth Day strengthens the great Indian ideal ‘Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam’ and makes human race feeling being the members of one world family.
