The UP Minister for Urban Development and Minorities Welfare, Mohammad Azam Khan asserted that for achieving better results, there must be an effective coordination between the government and the administration. He said that if the officers would not discharge their duties sincerely and honestly, it would become very difficult to give a concrete shape to the good intentions of the government and make it weak. Therefore, the officers should realise their responsibilities and work in a coordinated manner and shoulder to shoulder with the government, he said and added that only this type of functioning would help the government in making itself strong and result-oriented.
Mr. Khan was speaking at a function organised for launching of new schemes at the Chief Minister’s official residence here today. He said that the people of the state had pinned their hopes on the present government and their being hopeful was in no way wrong, because with the installation of this government they got a good riddance from rampant corruption and loot that was the order of the day in the previous regime. He said that not taking any retaliatory action against these malpractices of the previous regime should not be considered as a weakness or a weak will power of the present government. He said that all out efforts were being made by the government to convince the people whatever had happened during the past five years would not be allowed to happen again. The present government would not follow the path adopted earlier. A distinction, he added, be made between gentleness and terror and no attempt should be made to take undue advantage of some one’s gentleness. The present government has promised for development, not for ‘development in terror, he added and said, “The government will work in a well thought and well planned manner.
Praising the Chief Minister, Mr. Akhilesh Yadav, Mr. Khan said the chief minister is young, energetic, well educated and infused with modern thinking. He is fully able to take the state to the new heights of development and he would certainly do so. Congratulating the chief minister for the initiative he taken today, he asserted that he would walk shoulder to shoulder with him and put the state on the fast track of development.
