The U.P. Agriculture Production Commissioner, Mr. Alok Ranjan was in a meeting at his office today apprised by the Principal Secretary Agriculture, Mr. Rajiv Kapoor that Agri Mart at Talkatora  in Lucknow has begun sales to farmers from today. He informed that Agri Mart will provide farmers with agricultural inputs facilities such as urea, DAP fertilizer, seeds, zinc, micro nutrients, bio-pesticides, bio-fertilizers cattle feed and all type of agriculture appliances on subsidy basis. He said that in the first session of the mart cattle field agriculture implements, agriculture protection implements, Bakhari (Grain Storage), Fertilizer and seeds are available to farmers.
Mr. Alok Ranjan was apprised that opening of Agri Mart in Lucknow is a pilot project and its success in Lucknow will pave way to other Agri Marts in different part of the state. He said that in future Agri Marts will facilitates farmers in the field of meteorology and provide soil testing lab, water testing facility, insurance coverage and Bank Mela and farmer’s workshop in its campus.
