Six meritorious students of City Montessori School achieved the significant ‘DBT Biology / Biotechnology Scholarship’ of the Government of India and won laurels to the institution. Each student was awarded a gold medal, certificate and the cash prize of Rs. 20,000/- as the scholarship. The students comprise Prateek Rawat of CMS Mahanagar (Campus III) and Twinkle Chawla, Prachi Jain, Samya Singh, Annam and Ratna Krishnaswami of CMS Gomti Nagar (Campus I). Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS informed. Mr Sharma said that Ministry of Science and Technology, Dept. of Biotechnology, Government of India awarded them scholarship for securing good marks on national level in Biology and Biotechnology in ISC examination 2011.
Mr Sharma informed that Ministry of Science and Technology, Govt. of India selects 100 students every year for this prestigious scholarship from 26 State Boards, CBSE and CISCE Boards from across the country, who have achieved very high marks in Biology and Biotechnology in intermediate examinations. According to year 2011 examinations, out of 100 students, only 4 students have been selected from CISCE Board for Biology and all these four students namely Twinkle Chawla, Prachi Jain, Samya Singh (CMS Gomti Nagar) and Prateek Rawat (CMS Mahanagar III) are from CMS. The other two students Annam and Ratna Krishnaswami (CMS Gomti Nagar) won the biotechnology scholarship.
Mr Sharma informed that these outstanding students of CMS give credit for their tremendous success to their parents and teachers and peaceful and divine atmosphere of CMS. They said that the inspirational, divine and excellent teaching atmosphere instil utmost energy and enthusiasm in students. Mr Sharma said that CMS students are making new records and establishing new ideals of humanity and also spreading them across the globe. Like past years, this year too, 1103 CMS students secured 90% to 98.60% marks in ISC and ICSE examinations and brought name and fame to the institution.
