The University Grants Commission (UGC) has sanctioned an amount of Rs. 5 crore to the Manyawar Sri Kanshiram ji Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University under the “one-time catch-up grant” scheme, for its Lucknow Campus. The sanctioned amount will be utilised for the construction of the library building and the computer lab.
This information was given by the Vice-Chancellor of the Manyawar Sri Kanshiram ji Urdu, Arabi-Farsi University, Mr. Anis Ansari, here today. He said that the condition imposed by the UGC on the U.P. Government to provide a matching grant of Rs. 5 forms part of the scheme.
Mr. Ansari further said that the digital library and the computer lab would be set up under the project. Under this project, the library building and the lab will be constructed in a built-up area of 7441 sq. metres at a cost of about Rs. 15.39 crore. The entire complex housing the library and the lab will be six-storeyed, he added.
