Heidehof Stiftung, Germany wins Overall Championship Trophy
The four-day International Science Festival ‘Quanta-2011′ organized by City Montessori School, Chowk Campus at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium today concluded with full grandeur and prize distribution ceremony. Founder-Director of CMS and renowned educationist Dr (Mrs.) Bharti Gandhi lit the lamp of closing and prize distribution ceremony of Quanta-2011 to open it and honoured the winners of various events with trophy, medal and certificates. During the four day competitions of International Quanta-2011, all the participants were talented well but the students of Heidehof Stiftung, Germany grabbed the Overall Championship trophy showing their supremacy over others whereas Bal Bharti Public School, New Delhi was the first runner up and CMS Chowk Campus and Mosco Chemical Lecyum, Russia became the second runner up jointly.
Earlier, while addressing the student’s teams from India and abroad, Founder-Director of CMS and renowned educationist Dr (Mrs) Bharti Gandhi motivated the younger generation to utilize their energy and skills for the constructive development, world peace and world unity, at the closing ceremony of the International Quanta-2011. Dr Bharti Gandhi said that today new inventions and techniques are coming up across the globe that has transformed the world into a global village. Therefore, now is the time when human race should join hands and shun differences for the total growth. On the occasion, the young scientists came from 19 nations unanimously pledged to use their knowledge of science for humanitarian cause, while baring their hearts out. CMS students presented colourful educational-cultural items in the honour of participants and their team leaders and showcased the feeling of Vasudhaiv Kutumbkam.
The Secretary of Quanta-2011 and Principal of CMS Chowk campus, Mrs Sadhana Bedi said on the occasion that the students of 19 nations viz Brazil, Bulgaria, Canada, Czech Republic, Finland, Germany, Hong Kong, Jordan, Kazakhstan, Lebanon, Malaysia, Nepal, Pakistan, Russia, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Sultanate of Oman, Thailand and India participated in various events like Debate, Insight, Aqua-Challenge, Acta-Mathematica, Mental Ability Test, Science and Astronomy Quiz etc. during the four-day long Quanta-2011 and explored their talents. These participants have tremendous talents and they will shape a new society, she said.
