The Uttar Pradesh Governor Mr. B.L. Joshi and Chief Minister Hon’ble Ms. Mayawati paid their tributes to father of the Nation Mahatma Gandhi by garlanding his portrait in a programme organised at Tilak Hall, Vidhan Bhawan here today on the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti.
The programme was started by reciting of “Vande Matram” followed by the devotional songs liked by Bapu. The programme came to an end by singing of national anthem.
On this occasion, Cabinet Secretary Mr. Shashank Shekhar Singh, Chief Secretary Mr. Anoop Mishra, freedom fighters, social activists and media persons were present, besides other senior administrative and police officers.
