International Festival of Education ‘Global TIE-2011′ at CMS from August 20

global-tie_press-confCity Montessori School, Rajajipuram campus is organizing International Festival of Education “Global TIE-2011″ (Global Trends and Innovations in Education) from 20 to 23 August 2011 at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Over 250 educationists are arriving here at Lucknow from Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, Nepal, Sri Lanka and various states of India to attend this educational festival. The participants of Global TIE will discuss the nature of education in order to make it more useful and meaningful for students and to enable students to face the challenges of the 21st century successfully. This information was given by the Principal of CMS Rajajipuram Campus and Convenor of Global TIE-2011, Mrs Deepika Watal at a press conference held here today.

Addressing the press reporters at the press conference, Mrs Watal stated that meaningful education sees the whole world as one family which creates an awareness in human beings and they are able to come out of narrow minded thinking to develop a global outlook. Meaningful education and holistic teaching is possible only on a global platform which this educational festival Global Tie provides. It is indeed a great opportunity for educationists and students to interact and put forth their ideas so that education can be tailored according to the needs of modern society and to realize the higher aim of uniting mankind for human progress. Mrs Watal said that there are no two opinions about the fact that our younger generation is full of energy and capability but at the same time it is our responsibility of as teachers and educators to give the students a new direction and to include the teaching of moral values in education.

Further talking to the press reporters Mrs Watal said that at Global Tie around 250 educationists are gathering here to discuss new methods and techniques of education. They will throw light of common problems faced by students and on how to make subject more interesting and useful for students. Mrs Watal said that at this four-day International festival of education, the specialists and experts will organize a workshop and seminar. There will be an Interactive session, paper presentation, group discussion and various other interesting events. Mrs Watal emphasized that the discussion on educational techniques will lead to rich exchange of ideas and evolve new educational methods that will enhance the meaning and give a new dimension to education.

Commending the Principal of CMS rajajipuram, Mrs D Watal for organizing this festival, renowned educationist and CMS Founder Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that Global TIE would indeed prove to be a milestone giving a new direction to today’s purposeless education. Dr Gandhi said that such programmes are in great demand not only in India but in the entire world today. He said that education is a continuous process whose purpose is to make children the light of this world by imparting the education of all three kinds namely the human, material and divine. If a man is given only material education, it can be proved to be harmful and can lead him towards destruction. It is the moral responsibility of the schools to make children good citizens of the world by imparting not just the textual knowledge but the education aimed at their moral and character building. It is the social responsibility of the modern schools to contribute in the creative development of the society. Dr Gandhi expressed his happiness over the fact that this educational fest Global TIE is being hosted by CMS and said that this would be a great opportunity for the students, parents and teachers of CMS to learn from renowned educationists of the world.

Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS Mr Hari Om Sharma informed that a grand inaugural ceremony of this International Educational Festival will be organized on Saturday, 20th August 2011 at 5.00 pm at CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. On this occasion, CMS students will present an entertaining educational-cultural programme in honour of the participating delegates from  India and abroad. An exhibition of various educational tools, books on latest educational technologies and CMS educational pattern etc. would also be put up on this occasion, he informed.
