City Montessori School is organizing ‘International Media Conference’ on the theme ‘Rapidly Increasing Violence In and Against Children’ on 17th July at the CMS Kanpur Road auditorium. Several Media heads, journalists, psychologists, intelligentsia, educationists and jurists from Egypt, Canada, Brazil and India are arriving at Lucknow to participating in this international conference to ponder over the role of media and school on the topic ‘Rapidly Increasing Violence In and Against Children’. Founder of CMS and renowned educationist, Dr Jagdish Gandhi who is the Chief Patron of this conference informed the journalists about it at a press conference held here today. Addressing the media personnel Dr Gandhi said that media and school can effectively play an important role in removing juvenile crimes and exploitation of children which are spreading poison in our society. He further said that the intelligentsia and experts of India and abroad will thoroughly discuss the causes, situation and remedies of crimes by and against children that will be fruitful for the whole society.
\ Talking to the journalists at the press conference, Dr Jagdish Gandhi said that though we are progressing on material front yet these changes give rise to various social evils. Juvenile crime and child exploitation are also among them. Media can play specific role to bring about effective measures in curbing these evils. Unless media brings out the well-beings of children into limelight the common man will not become aware of it. Media alone can make the public conscious about juvenile crimes and schools and media together can bring about change in it. He emphatically said that the time has come when all the strata of society put their best foot forward for providing positive and healthy atmosphere to our young ones.
