State-level workers’ conference of BSP Andhra Pradesh Unit
concludes successfully in Hyderabad

ppb_5806Hyderabad (Andhra Pradesh): 25 June 2011 :: Bahujan Samaj Party (BSP) National President and Hon’ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Ms. Mayawati ji said here today that opposition parties, especially Congress and BJP were unable to accept the BSP Government under her leadership in Uttar Pradesh, which was representing the Sarvsamaj and following the policy of “Sarvajan Hitai, Sarvajan Sukhai”. These parties with a view to divert the attention of people from their failure and shortcomings were adopting all tactics against BSP in Uttar Pradesh.

Addressing the “Andhra Pradesh BSP workers’ conference” in White House, Lal Bahadur Nagar in Hyderabad, Ms Mayawati ji said that Congress party ruling at the Centre and in Andhra Pradesh was a big failure on all fronts, owing to which the people of Andhra Pradesh and the Country were suffering. Instead of giving relief to common man by checking the increase in prices, unemployment and corruption, the Congress party is interested in the game of change in leadership on the post of Prime Minister. Referring to the deep desperation of people towards Congress and BJP for failure to check the burning issues of the Country especially poverty, prices-rise, unemployment and corruption, she said that wrong economic policies were the root cause of these problems and it was necessary to strengthen the BSP movement at every level in the entire Country to get rid of these problems.

Referring to the regional diversities and imbalances in the large Country of India, she said her party BSP is in favour of smaller States and owing to which it supports the demand of separate State of Telangana in Andhra Pradesh. BSP Government had an important role for the formation of separate hill State of Uttarakhand and it is struggling for the formation of separate Bundelkhand, Pooravanchal and West Uttar Pradesh by dividing U.P. at present.

The Hon’ble Ms. Mayawati ji said it was necessary to strengthen BSP movement in the entire country to oppose anti-people policies of Congress led Government at the Centre strongly. It is a well known fact that BSP movement took birth for safeguarding the interests of exploited, deprived and poor people of the Country and BSP is always struggling at every level to oppose and expose the anti-people policies and anti-dalit mindset of Congress party, which remained in power at the Centre and maximum number of States mostly. Similarly, BSP is also against the wrong policies of BJP and other opposition parties, she added.

Referring to the prevalent large scale poverty, unemployment, price-rise and corruption and holding responsible the Congress and BJP for the ills, which are weakening the Country, she said that these parties never took any stern action on these issues during their regimes at the Centre and different States. Serious allegations regarding corruption were being levelled on the Governments of these parties at the Centre and the States. She said that BSP was the only party, which thrived on the support of its workers and it never depended on the money of capitalists like opposition parties. Therefore, the BSP Government in Uttar Pradesh was working in the interests and honour of exploited, deprived and poor people of the society. BSP Government had done remarkable works for the betterment and welfare of these sections and treading on the path of social change in the interest of the Country.

BSP National President said that even after 63 years of Independence, the economic and social condition of SC/ST, OBC, religious minorities, especially Muslim, Sikh, Christian, Bauddh and Upper Caste poor people remained pitiable, because the parties ruling at the Centre and States especially Congress and BJP formulated the policies in the interests of capitalists, owing to which these capitalists ruled the Country and different States indirectly and the divide between rich and poor people increased. This wrong economic policy had done a great damage to the Country. This was the reason for which BSP was formed and it was continuously struggling through BSP movement against such type of anti-people policy in the Country. BSP movement is a national necessity and it should be strengthened, especially in South India and the State of Andhra Pradesh including all parts of the country. She said that BSP is a humanitarian movement and the aim of this movement is to establish a society based on equality in the Country following the paths shown by saints, gurus and great men, especially Mahatma Jyotiba Phule, Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj, Sri Narayana Guru, Baba Saheb Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar and Manyawar Sri Kanshiram ji etc. who took birth in dalit and OBC sections from time to time.

Hon’ble Ms. Mayawati ji said that Congress led Central Government was indifferent and careless towards poverty, unemployment, increasing prices from which every section and every society of the country was suffering. The leaders of this party were engaged in cheap politics, while the BSP Government in Uttar Pradesh had taken several significant steps owing to which people felt relief pertaining to these problems. Lakhs of new temporary and permanent employment opportunities were created and concessions were given in different taxes at its own-level, owing to which people felt relief from spiralling prices. The State Government had given one-time amount of Rs. 2400 of six months as financial assistance at the rate of Rs. 400 per month to women head of the family of 31 lakh poor families of Sarvsamaj under “Uttar Pradesh Mukhyamantri Mahamaya Garib Arthik Madad Yojana”.

Hon’ble Ms. Mayawati ji said that BSP had launched nation-wide people’s movement against the high increase in Petrol prices by Congress led Central Government under which large scale demonstrations were organised on 31 May 2011 at the Head Quarters of all the 72 districts of Uttar Pradesh and now this movement was continuing in different States of the Country. She directed to the in-charge of party unit of Andhra Pradesh that he should also organise demonstrations against this anti-people policy of the Central Government in his State.

Earlier, Hon’ble Ms. Mayawati ji was welcomed by the BSP office bearers and party workers on reaching the venue of conference with slogans of BSP Zindabad, Bahen Kumari Mayawati ji Zindabad. In these meetings which lasted for several hours, Hon’ble Ms Mayawati ji reviewed the works of the organisation and directed the office bearers to increase the mass-base of party and strengthen the organisation on the pattern of Uttar Pradesh. She also solved the related problems immediately and appealed them to provide good results in the Assembly elections of the State, whenever held. To bring BSP in power in Andhra Pradesh, she said that preparations have to be made on the basis of cadre like Uttar Pradesh. Besides, people of Sarvsamaj have to be associated with BSP on the policy of “Sarvajan Hitai, Sarvajan Sukhai” to strengthen BSP movement.
