A 6-member students delegation of City Montessori School, Mahanagar (Campus I) will leave for Hong Kong to participate in the International Mathematics Olympiad. Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations Officer of CMS informed. Mr Sharma informed that this International Mathematics Olympiad is being hosted by the renowned social and educational organization Po Leung Kuk for children under 14 years of age from 10 to 19 July 2011 with the objective to enhance their knowledge and accuracy in maths. Mr Sharma informed that the young mathematicians from CMS Mahanagar campus who are going to participate in this prestigious International Mathematics Olympiad include Master Shobhit Singh, Master Ankit Pradeep, Ms Sneha Singh and Master Prakhar Rao. The team will be led by Ms Anjana Gupta, teacher of CMS Mahanagar while Ms Jyoti Singh will be the deputy leader.
Mr Sharma informed that this International Mathematics Olympiad will provide a golden opportunity to CMS
students to exchange their maths skill and expertise with the students from various countries. He said that this maths olympiad is aimed at making latest information of maths available to the students, exchange of the knowledge of maths, increasing the feeling of world fraternity among the primary students of various countries, providing an international forum to the primary students to exhibit their maths skills and inspiring the world to follow similar maths curriculum for the primary classes.
