Opposition parties trying to malign State Government’s image even though stringent action initiated against culprits
Various National Commission’s should maintain their dignity
Doctors submitting false first post-mortem report suspended, action initiated against them

The Spokesman of Bahujan Samaj Party has said that the statements being issued by the opposition parties over the Nighasan incident were motivated by politics. He said that the truth is that since it is an election year, therefore opposition parties were trying to malign the image of the State Government. The spokesman pointed out that the State Government had already taken stringent action in this regard. He alleged that the National Human Rights Commission and National Commission for Women were also aligning with the opposition parties in their mischievous crusade.

Reacting over the statement of the Union Minister for Women and Child Development Mrs. Krishna Tirath, the Spokesman said that instead of meeting the Union Home Minister over this issue, she should meet him regarding various incidents of crime against women taking place in the Congress ruled state like Delhi.  He said that so many incidents of violence against women were happening in Delhi that it would be apt to call it country’s rape capital. Therefore, Mrs. Tirath had no right to advise the Hon’ble Chief Minister ji, he added. He said that in fact Mrs. Tirath should resign as she had failed to put a check on such incidents taking place in Delhi just under the nose of Central Government.

The Party Spokesman said that as soon as the Hon’ble Chief Minister ji came to know about the Nighasan incident, she summoned a meeting of senior officers and inquired about the whole incident. She directed them to investigate the matter thoroughly and take punitive action against the guilty.

The Hon’ble Chief Minister ji had directed the officers to get the incident investigated by CB-CID and submit report within a week. The investigative agency has already begun its work. Besides, she had also ordered re-post-mortem of the deceased through a team not belonging to the district and which also had a woman member compulsorily. Complying with this order a second post-mortem of the deceased was conducted today. Its report indicated that the deceased was murdered and it was not a case of suicide. Therefore, the doctors, who had submitted false report of the first autopsy, have been suspended immediately and action had also been initiated against them. Besides, one inspector and two constables have been arrested for destroying evidence and have been sent to jail after registering case against them. On the directives of the Hon’ble Chief Minister ji, the Divisional Commissioner of Lucknow Mr. Prashant Trivedi and Zonal IG Mr. Subesh Kumar were camping at the place of incident since yesterday night. The SP Lakhimpur-Kheri has been transferred and new SP Mr. Amit Chandra has been posted there.

The Spokesman said that even though the Hon’ble Chief Minister ji takes quick action in such incidents, yet the opposition parties start issuing baseless statements to gain political mileage. Several national commissions unnecessarily echo these statements, he pointed out. The National Commission for Women, National Human Rights Commission and National Commission for Scheduled Caste become hysteric about incidents that occur in Uttar Pradesh and start issuing useless statements. These institutions keep mum when such incidents occur in Congress ruled states, he pointed out.

The Party Spokesman said that the people now knew about the tactics of these commissions. He said that the data indicate that the rate of rape was higher in Congress ruled states, while the rate of rape in Uttar Pradesh was less than the national rate of rape. Referring to the rape of a woman working in BPO which occurred on 24 November 2010 and another rape incident that occurred in Sultanpuri area of Delhi, the Spokesman pointed out that these incidents took place in the capital of the country. But, the Union Woman Minister did not show any sensitivity in this regard, nor the Delhi Government was put in the dock. The Central Government was also spared, while it was responsible for the law and order of Delhi the spokesman pointed out.

The BSP Spokesman said that the recent incident that occurred at Ramlila Maidan, in which several innocent women, children and old people sleeping peacefully were brutally harassed and suppressive action was taken against them, was witnessed by the entire nation on T.V. and the Hon’ble Supreme Court took suo-moto cognisance of the incident and sent notice to the concerning people, but the NCW and NHRC did not give any reaction in this regard. Besides, the NCSC also kept mum.

The Spokesman sought to know if it was not a case of partiality. He said that three women were raped for ten days in the Ambala, State of Haryana, which is ruled by Congress and the NCW and other central commissions chose to keep mum in this regard. The Spokesman pointed out that the women and other weaker sections were not secure in the State of Haryana, which is an adjoining state of Delhi.  He said that several cases of harassment of dalits took place in the Congress ruled states, but the central commissions did not do anything and kept mum as well.

Referring to the Randhesar incident that occurred in Congress ruled State of Rajasthan, the Spokesman said that the village Panchayat had imposed fine on dalits for drinking water from a public tap.  He said that, similarly, there was a tradition in Karnataka, which is ruled by BJP, in which the dalits lay on the used (eaten) pattals. He said that the NCSC and the NHRC turn a blind eye on such incidents. But, when even a minor incident occurs in U.P., the same opposition parties and commissions try to indulge in petty politics over these incidents.
