CB-CID earlier solved several cases impartially, Sheelu case of Banda was investigated by CB-CID recently

State Government has already taken stringent action to punish culprits, Government committed to punish guilty

The Spokesman of Bahujan Samaj Party has termed the allegation of rape of the Nighasan victim levelled by senior leaders of opposition parties as unfortunate and baseless. He pointed out that the State Government had already taken punitive action in this case and was committed to take severe punishment against the guilty. The Party Spokesman said that as soon as the Hon’ble Chief Minister ji came to know about the incident, she directed the senior officers to investigate the case thoroughly and take severe action against the guilty. He said that in consonance with the orders of the Hon’ble Chief Minister ji second autopsy was conducted of the victim by sending a team from Lucknow HQ. It had one woman member as well.

The Spokesman said that the second autopsy confirmed that the victim was murdered and it was not a case of suicide. The rape was not confirmed, he added. Yet, the senior leader of Congress Mr. Digvijay Singh, who was himself Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh twice and Mr. Azam Khan who himself was a senior minister in S.P. Government, had been repeatedly alleging rape of the victim which was irresponsible behaviour on their part. He said that these opposition leaders should have confirmed facts before making any statement. He said that it was clear that they were trying to take political mileage of the issue.

The BSP Spokesman said that one inspector and two constables had been arrested for destroying evidence and had been sent to jail after registering case against them. All the three doctors, who had submitted false report of the first autopsy, have already been suspended and action had also been initiated against them. The SP Lakhimpur-Kheri had also been transferred. The incident was being investigated by CB-CID and its report would be submitted at the earliest.

The Party Spokesman pointed out that the decision of the State Government to get this case investigated by CB-CID and its integrity should not be questioned. He said that the Sheelu case of Banda had been solved by the same agency and it had proven wrong the allegations of the opposition parties at that time.

The Spokesman said that the truth is that the tough measures taken by the Hon’ble Chief Minister ji in this case and the transparent way of investigation and punitive action taken against the guilty had unnerved the opposition parties. Now, they were trying to create confusion among the people. The Spokesman reminded that the Hon’ble Chief Minister ji had given explicit orders to the senior officers to ensure that nobody violated law no matter whosoever he was.

The BSP Spokesman suggested that the opposition leaders should wait patiently and let the State Government’s action complete. He said that in next few days all facts would be cleared. He assured that the culprits would not be spared.
