Sahara Hospital Academic and Research Center launched

pic-11Sahara Hospital, the multi-disciplinary, super-speciality, Tertiary Care hospital, today, announced the launch of Sahara Hospitals Academic and Research Center. The Center, which in itself is a major step forward taken by the Hospital will collaborate with national and international medical institutions, universities and research firms of repute for clinical researches approved by Ministry of Science and Technology, Government of India. The center will be involved in entire gamut of researches and multicentric trials including on new Drugs, approaches, technologies and devices.

The Center has established an independent Ethics committee comprising of scientific and public figures of high standing and impeccable credentials to oversee the conductance of Research projects and multi-centric trials conducted under the principal investigatorship of senior faculty members who have recently joined the Sahara hospital from renowned academic institutions. The Academic cell of the Center is headed by Dr. R. K. Gupta, Former Dean and HOD of Pathology at SGPGI while the Chairman of Ethics Committee of the Center is Dr. O. P. Asthana, Former Deputy Director and Head Clinical Pharmacology of Central Drug Research Institute (CDRI), Lucknow.
Sahara Hospital Academic and Research Center is an important step in implementing the Hospitals plans of furthering Academic activities. In the near future, Academic courses and collaborations are on the anvil.

Sahara Hospital is a multi- specialty, tertiary care destination that opened in Lucknow in February 2009. Sahara Hospital is currently operating with approximately 350 beds and upon completion of its second phase, it is planned to have approximately 554 beds.
