The pioneer of quality concept in education and Founder of City Montessori School, Dr Jagdish Gandhi met Mr Madhav Kumar Nepal, the Prime Minister of Nepal during his visit to Nepal to attend the ‘International Convention on Students Quality Control Circle’ organized in Kathmandu and honoured him with ‘Quality Pioneer Award’ on behalf of City Montessori School. This information has come from Mr Hari Om Sharma, Chief Public Relations officer of CMS. Mr Sharma informed that the Prime Minister of Nepal was the Chief Guest in the ‘International Convention on Students Quality Control Circle’ and Dr Gandhi was the main speaker in the conference. This international conference was organized by the QUEST, Nepal under the aegis of World Council of Total Quality and Excellence in Education (WCTQEE) in Kathmandu in which approximately 202 international and 485 national representatives from 63 reputed schools of the world participated. On this occasion, Mr Madhav Kumar Nepal profusely praised CMS and said that modern age youths can face the problems and challenges of life with their knowledge and global thinking. He commended the ‘Peace Education Campaign’ of CMS for a safe future of 2.6 billion children of the world and the generation yet-to-be-born.
Mr Sharma said that as the main speaker Dr Gandhi spoke that ‘Total Quality Person’ is the need of the hour and present age schools should bring total change in their teaching methodology and inculcate material, human, moral, character building and spiritual education in it. In his keynote address, Dr Gandhi emphasized on teaching methods of CMS and said that we aim to build every child good and smart. It is the social responsibility of a modern school to groom up students as law-abiding and just to be able to make this beautiful earth spiritually cultured. He said that now the time has come when we all should shoulder the responsibility to establish world unity.
Mr Sharma said that Dr Gandhi’s Nepal visit has been significant. He tremendously inspired the students of Nepal to imbibe ‘Quality Concept’ in themselves. Dr Gandhi also visited several eminent figures in Nepal including former Prime Minister of Nepal Mr Sher Bahadur Deuba; Chief Justice of the Supreme Court of Nepal, Justice Ram Prasad Shrestha, Chief Justice of Appellate court Justice Baidyanath Upadhyay and Secretary in Education Ministry of Nepal, Mr Shankar Prasad Pandey.
Mr Sharma said that the credit for establishing quality concept in education for the first time goes to the inspiration of Founder of CMS Dr Jagdish Gandhi and the efforts of Principal of CMS Kanpur Road Campus, Dr (Mrs) Vineeta Kamran whose untiring endeavours have created Students’ Quality Control circles in several nations of the world. By now various schools in UK, Nepal, Bangladesh, America, Mauritius, Sri Lanka, Germany, Kuwait, Turkey, Israel, Hong Kong, Qatar, Iran, Malaysia, Philippines, Pakistan and Sri Lanka established Students’ Quality Control Circles and they all are on their path to make their students TQP (Total Quality Person).
